From first plan to handover in under 10 minutes
Take a blank project, import a plan, drop pins, capture evidence, and export a handover pack.

This tutorial walks you through the complete MyMarkups loop on a single job. By the end you’ll have a pinned plan, captured evidence, and a handover PDF you can share.
What you’ll build
- A new project with one floor plan.
- Three pins: one task, one photo, one measurement.
- A handover PDF containing only the items you tick.
Steps
- 1 On the home screen, tap New Project and name it something memorable (e.g. '2026-04 Test Job').
- 2 Open the project. Tap Plans and Import PDF. Pick the plan from Files.
- 3 Tap the plan to open it. Long-press anywhere to drop a pin. Give it a short title.
- 4 From the pin sheet, tap Tasks to add one task with a due date.
- 5 Tap Photos and capture an image of something real - it stays on-device.
- 6 Open the drawing toolbar, pick the Line tool, and calibrate the page scale using a known length.
- 7 Tap Export at the top-right. Choose Handover PDF, then tick only the items you want to include.
- 8 Tap Share and send via AirDrop or Mail. Done.
Why each step matters
Calibrating the page scale once means any measurement you take later is accurate. Ticking items explicitly on export means your handover contains exactly what the recipient needs - not every photo and note you’ve ever captured.
